What is Melaleuca Wellness Company About

Melaleuca isn’t exactly an ordinary company, It began in September 1985, Frank L. VanderSloot is the CEO of Melaleuca, Inc. in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Since then, the company has grown into an international company that generates more than $2 billion in annual revenue, under the direction of VanderSloot.

He has directed the development of the company’s nutritional, pharmaceutical, personal care, and household cleaning products.

This is done through a sales force reaching hundreds of thousands of households across North America, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, China, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Ireland, and the United Kingdom.

Is Melaleuca The Wellness Company Products Superior?

Melaleuca is also on a mission to improve our environment with non-toxic, home-cleaning products that are safer for your home and allow you to live clean without the hazards of harsh chemicals.

Melaleuca is a world leader in concentrated products. Products that require less water to make, less fuel to ship, and less plastic to package.

It’s better for the environment inside your home… and outside

Melaleuca is a Network Marketing company selling health and wellness-related products.

I Read a Lot of Reviews And There Are a Lot of Mixed  Emotional Reasonings About Melaleuca Products.

Some people are in favor of the products and some are not,  this is where you have to try them for yourself or believe the reviews and pick them aside.

My family was a Direct Customer of Melaleuca and my sister-in-law was a Preferred Customers Member of Melaleuca Business Venture.

My family and I all tried to support my sister-in-law because this was her business venture, and that’s how Melaleuca did their business venture by referring family members and friends (word of mouth).

Some family members joined, but as for my household, we waited. I can’t refer a product or business venture to someone unless I tried it for myself and I’m satisfied with it, then I can refer it to others.

We tried a lot of Melaleuca products and what we’ve learned about the products was that some we like and others we didn’t care for, but that’s a preference thing!

My wife and I felt the product was very high quality, and a little bit pricey for our budget and others have experienced it too.

After trying Melaleuca for a while we decided this wasn’t for us, like other family members.

One reason we didn’t care for the Melaleuca program was that my wife didn’t like the monthly point system obligation.

Having to buy products based on 35 or more points which are about $70 or more a month is more than what we need for our household.

Now, Melaleuca has more than 400 items to choose from and of course, you can choose what products you want or need.

But if you fail to place an order for that month, Melaleuca will send you any stuff just to fulfill that 35 points requirement.

So it is recommended to pick the items in advance that you want or need as your backorder. Otherwise, you could get some stuff you don’t need. ( it’s stuff Melaleuca will send to you, and it’s stuff they want to get rid of anyway!).

This is what Melaleuca calls a backup order.

When you enroll as a Preferred Customer, you can earn Loyalty Shopping Dollars by watching short online videos that further introduce you to Melaleuca and Melaleuca products.

Later, you simply shop monthly to continue earning Loyalty Shopping Dollars.

Here’s the catch, products purchased with Loyalty Shopping Dollars do not count toward your monthly Product Point Commitment.

You will still have to order 35 points worth of product.

This is your monthly commitment, on an average 35 points for my family was about $70 each month.

My thought on this is why can’t it be 20 or 25 points? Then more people could afford it and there would be less grievance over the cancellation.

Cancellation is another process altogether you can’t just call up and cancel your commitment. You have to write a statement as to why you no longer want their program, then emails will be sent to you or you might have to talk to a manager.  (Hey, I’m just a simple guy, make a call and cancel it, “that’s how I roll!”).

Some people recommend Melaleuca products if they fit your budget.

How is Melaleuca Wellness Company A Scam?

Melaleuca is not a scam or pyramid scheme. Although, there are some ways the Melaleuca Process is similar to those of pyramid schemes.

Other examples would be Mary Kay and Excel Communications (now defunct?).

None of these are scams, but require the skills and network of any other sales job to be successful.

Let me get one thing straight. Pyramid scheme companies rely heavily on recruiting, promising big earnings. They don’t have any products to sell.

Melaleuca is accredited by BBB Accredited Business since 10/23/1987

BBB has determined that Melaleuca, Inc meets BBB accreditation standards, which include a commitment to make a good faith effort to resolve any consumer complaints.

But, the compensation side of the company works very much like so many other pyramid-style sales companies, but melaleuca is definitely an MLM company.

I don’t Recommend Melaleuca as a business opportunity, especially if you are new to network marketing or online business, because of these reasons I point out above.

With all the things that are going on in the world today (Co-VID-19) and the uncertainties that are shaping our future, starting a business is scary. It’s even scarier if you are paying out of pocket.
